My name is Walt Lindgren. I was in Stockholm and Jarvsjoby in September of 2010. Was able to see the subway system and it puts Toronto to shame!!! I live in Trenton Ontario now. I have cousins that live in Stockholm and Jarvsjoby. We stayed with them. We miss them and my homeland so much. Can’t wait till I can go back again. Is there anyone who would like to help this misplaced Swede come home again??? Leave a post, I promise I will answer!!! Jag alskar dig Sverige!!!

it’s presumably the longest art-expo in the world, since noone else is claiming the title.
They organize guided tours so you can check these out and learn history and stuff about the artists etc, if you’re interested and ever visit stockholm, check it out.

A fair warning though – the subways do look better on these photographs than in real life. Much of the paint isnt as vivid due to aging and dust.

I love this!
I live at one of these stations and whenever I take the time to look at the artwork I find something new! Also I’ve been trying to name all the stations. So far I’ve gotten Hallonbergen, Vrete, Huvudsta, Rissne, Näckrosen, Solna C, Kungsträdgården, Rådmansgatan, Västra Skogen, Odenplan, T-centralen (uppg från blå till övr), Fridhemsplan(?).. Någon som kan hjälpa till med de övriga?

Nice pictures!

The vast majority of the photos are from the extremely cool blue line, which unfortunaletly is only a small part of the metro system. But there are nice outdoor ones aswell!

I’m actually from Stockholm, Sweden too and I’ve been to most of the subway stations in the picture but I’ve never ever actually thought about how beautiful my city is. I love Stockholm, proud to be a Swede!!!
